Making Money Online Baker's Practical Tips PART II

This is part 2 of my Practical tips on how to make money online.

If you haven't read it  yet, I suggest you go here first: Making Money Online Baker's Practical Tips Part 1

In part 1 I talk about the way to make money in a practical way and for the long-term income on autopilot style is to start a blog.

My Back-Story

You don't have to be that intelligent to make money online. I was an average C student in traditional school. From grade school all the way up to college, I struggle in tradional academics. This is very embarrasing, but I just between me and you, I actually failed Intermediate Allegra....a grand total of 4  times while I was stuck  In junior college...and finally passed on the 5th try. I really didn't like school, and teachers didn't like me very much.

It took me 6 years to finally finish college. So I'm not a very smart guy. But, I still make money online, and blog about stuff I'm actually passionate about and that I enjoy. Go figure! =p

Now, when I first started one of my original blogs: Beyond Success. I had no idea what I was doing, a lot of my friends at that time being 25 years old laughed at the idea of me continuing to blog. Now, 3 years later I do make a consisten passive income stream on the blog. The blog has since changed it's name to bakerthebrand.com but nonetheless the consistent blog posts and SEO work that I've put into practice, the blog now makes me income on autopilot. They laughed at me back then for taking blogging seriously, now they are just jealous of me, and work their 9-5 jobs Monday-Friday. Maybe they get lucky if it's a National Holiday...and get the day off work...

I surpassed My Friends

Those friends of mine are still wondering how I continue to blog, and make money online from my blog and  they are still in awe and can't believe it.  To be honest, a lot of them are jealous that I'm finally seeing success and making money online.

But, to be honest I don't care. I put in the work for that many years, and now it's growing. At the end of the day that jealousy turns into respect, because they know the amount of time, persistent, and work it took to get to making money online really took.

The Secret Ingredient To Making Money Online Through A Blog

The key is the blog can and will act as you home-based business if you take it seriously, and are willing to put in the consistent effort and work towards building into a full time income.

You don't have to get crazy and quit your day job just yet. But, keep it on the side, and continually put a bit of effort on it daily, and you will see that indeed it too can grow for you into making money online.

The secret ingredient to making money online through a blog is to be consistent in your efforts to build your blog. They say if you can survive the 1st year of blogging through one of your blogs, you have a great shot at making a good fortune for yourself online thereafter. Get through the 1st year of blogging on one blog, and you've made it! But the question I get a lot,  I will answer below.

What Should I Blog About?

Well, I'll go into How I get ideas to start my blog. But, the very simple answer to this question is: BLOG ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT!

So as mentioned earlier, a question I get a lot is that “How Do you Get Ideas To Write for your blog?” Or “How Do you Know what to write about?”

This question I don’t like answering because it is a very tough question.
I write most of my own posts on here, but I also do employ other people to guest post via fiverr for $5 as well, for great exposure to their site.
I’ve been fortunate in that the guest posts that I’ve received, and end up publishing live on Baker The Brand Dot Com have very much served the overall mission and theme of spirituality, personal development, and self-help.
I do get the occasional off the topic article submissions, but that’s okay. I just weed them out.
Practically I get most of my ideas from what I like to call my higher self. This is the process I personally use, and it helps me out a lot. I keep it simple.

1. I take three deep breathes.
2. I sit by the computer.
3. I begin to type whatever comes through.

That’s pretty much the very simple process I use. I go out experience life, and then sit by the computer and write about my experience and what I’ve learned or observed. A the messages on a deeper spiritual level for me at lease, come from the  divine or universal source energy. One of the key differential factors I truly believe is that I write from the heart. Not many bloggers out there can say they actually do that. So , right there is a major advantage for me and I’ve been fortunate enough to have the privileged to come from that space, and reach many people on that level which is is very beautiful.

Also I try not to look at what other bloggers are talking about prior to starting a blog post. The reason is because it distracts me from what I really want to say. That doesn’t mean I don’t get influenced by other bloggers. But, my style is very much unique I believe to my own frame of thought.
Many people socially find me to be somewhat shy, and withdrawn until we actually really get to know each other. They may even be surprised that I don’t greet people by spitting out with a wise quote. The irony is in my daily conversation I’m more of a listener. I like to listen more than talk. But, when the platform is right that’s when I’ll chime in vocally. Usually, I get more vocally expressive when I’m talking about something I’m passionate about like, personal development, spirituality, expansion, or true human potential.
It’s easy to see how I can be associated as being somewhat geeky. I don’t mind. One of my favorite places in the world contrary to what most people think is actually the bookstore.

Personal Branding

I’ve written previously an article that hit the 1st page of Google on the importance of online branding, with Baker’s Recipe for 5 Awesome Tips on Successful Online Branding.
The real ingredient to being an online success,  is having a strong and well-defined  brand. That simply means, that what you put out there in the internet always goes back to your “why” or what your core message is for the world. It has to come from a place that is true to you and real from your heart, otherwise you are just another person online with a blog.
An example of a strong well-defined brand For example, When someone says  the name “Ferrari,” you automatically get in your mind the idea of a fast sports car, or rich people luxury etc..
The core message and reason why the ideas I get to write for my site here, come naturally is because it is backed with a strong intention. The intention being: To inspire and empower countless individuals into living the life of their dreams from the inside-out.
Although, it may seem like I write about a wide-variety of topics on this blog. I believe, It always points back to a core message. The core message always goes back to service. Being of service and teaching and inspiring others to be of service and help to humanity on a global scale.
This act of service is what will lead you to a life of fulfillment, prosperity, and inner peace.
So, when starting your own brand online, know that the moment you get involved with any social media site, I.e a facebook, twitter account you are already starting your own brand the moment you log in the very first time, whether you know it or not. Your presentation, your story, where you are headed is already your personal brand. The web is very transparent.

The key is to be your authentic self always. But, come through with a vision or take some leadership into what you really represent from deep within your soul. Don’t follow the crowd, and be yourself.
A quote I love from doctor Suess. Goes: “Why try to fit in when you were born to stand out.”

Go back to what is true for you. This will be rewarding and fulfilling, because you are making a difference int he world in your own unique way. I don’t unique way. That is pretty special. Exciting times ahead.

 Starting A Blog

As mentioned, the long-term money is in blogging.  If you can stick it out for one year of one site on your blog, you will have made it to the ultimate threshold of earning money online on autopilot. Imagine for a second, what kind of lifestyle you will have when your blog is making money for you on autopilot? The financial freedom and choices you get to make in life ? What would you do more of now that you are making money online? Spend time with the kids? Quit your stressful J.O.B? Travel more? Live on the beach? Dine out more?

Maybe if you were smart you would invest it and get even richer?

The key to making money online is to start a blog on a topic that you are TRULY passionate about and be in it for the long-haul.

As you know or may not know, each and every website and or blog that you see live on the web has hosting. Each site is required to get hosting. As mentioned, I do recomend Host Gator they have very good prices, and they have a great support staff, you can call to help you directly through the phone to get set up with your very own blog hosting. They are very reliable, and you can talk to the people directly by calling them on the number on the site below, to get you started in less than 1hr. 3. Start Blogging.
I suggest to people to always write about something you are “passionate” about. I can’t emphasis this enough. Are you into cooking, fitness, athletics, personal development? The list goes on, just look at the hobbies you already have, or the ones you had in the past and want to rediscover and shed light on.
If you blog about something or topics you are passionate about not only is it a lot more fun, but your experience and passion show through in your writing. Also, if you are passionate about the topics, you have a higher chance to continue your blog for the long-haul.Blogging on topics just to make money, won’t last long. The ways to monetize later down the road as you build and grow a readership will amaze you, but focus first on your passions and writing about topics that you already enjoy and love.

I hope these 3 simple tips help, and hopefully by this time or very  soon you get a great inspired idea on what to start blogging about, by reading about how I get ideas to write from this blog.
